1994, 3 days after it was announced Kurt Cobain had comitted sucicide, Pearl Jam played the first time "Come As You Are) a pair of hometown shows at Boston. 

During the band’s set, frontman Eddie Vedder performed an tribute cover Nirvana’ classic “Come as you are.” Vedder dedicated the show to Kurt Cobain. Watch.

It’s not the first time Vedder has covered the Cover Nirvana song. On 1991, Pearl Jam played a cover of “Smells Like Teen Spirit” in Daly City. Watch
