Original Nirvana drummer Chad Channing, best known for his appearance on the grunge ensemble's legendary debut album, Bleach, has said he would like to meet survivors Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic.

When asked in an interview with NME if he was interested in reuniting the surviving members of Nirvana, the drummer replied, "Yes, if they wanted me to." Adding: "Maybe it's kind of like Dave playing the guitar and singing and Krist doing the bass. That would be the only arrangement I could think of that is cold."

Channing, who currently leads the band Before Cars played with Nirvana from 1988 to 1990, playing drums on several of their most famous songs, including About a Girl, School, Love Buzz, and even contributing to the band's 1991 album Nevermind, on Polly's track.

The year 2014  he was left out of induction into the Nirvana Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, where only the "classic" lineup of the late Kurt Cobain's band, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic was recognized. Channing was reportedly informed by text message that he was not to be induced.
